HERE IT IS: TOM WELLING AT COMIC CON 2009!!!

As you know Tom Welling was at Comic Con today during the Q&A session. All the Smallville cast was there.
There was a great ovation for Tom when he arrived and was introduced by Jeph Loeb.

SEASON 9 HIGHLIGHTS!

Ausiello (Entertainment Weekly) was at Comic-Con and talked with Brian Peterson (Smallville Exec. Prod.) the following:
- Season 9 is focus on Clark`s darkest hour
- Clois confirmed, but as triangle way because the RBB continuos
- Chloe is sad for Jimmy`s death and she`s embracing the Watchtower role
- Tension between Clark and Chloe
- Important scene with Jor-El and Clark (explanation about his not flying)
- Brian Austin Green confirmed for two-episode arc
- In this moment they`re shooting an episode focus on Oliver
Further, Michael Rosenbaum and Brian Peterson had dinner together recently...uhmm...would it be possible his return...what do you think?

TOM WELLING ATTENDING COMIC-CON!!!

OMG!!! All the time we were talking about the Media shyness of actor Tom Welling....all the time we were wondering why he hasn`t ever appeared in promotions of the show ( since about 3 years ago)...

But, finally... Tom is announced to be there in person...and there`s more...Tom is now a co-executive producer of Smallville!

Yeah! All of you Smallville fans pay attention: He`ll be there on Sunday, July 26, from 10.30 to 11.30 in room 6BCF.

So...the entire cast will be at Comic-Con talking with fans in the Q&A session...IT`S GREAT!!! RIGHT?

There have been conflicting reports about where Smallville is heading in the romance department this year. Is it the season of Clois, or are they really revisiting Lois and Ollie again? --Jeff

It's full-tilt-Clois. I'm sure they will touch on Lois-Ollie, but it won't be anything significant

So...what do you think? Do you like it? Or do you prefer any other partner for Clark?

SMALLVILLE NEWS!

Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders were talking about the characters in season 9:
CLARK KENT: He will be focus in become an hero...leaving the rest of his life behind.
METALLO: Brian Austin Green plays the role of John Corben aka Metallo, with a kryptonite heart. It`s a two-episode arc.
ZOD: The villain of this season. He`ll be introduced younger, when he was a Major, not the General Zod. This role is played by british actor Callum Blue.

Season 9 will air on September 25, all fridays at 8 pm.

PREVIEW NIGHT: COMIC CON 2009

The Preview Night was so crowded...
Years before, it was so easy to walk into the aisles, but now...
Despite, only pre-registered four-days pass holders can participate of it.
About 125,000 people annually attend Comic-Con, which features hundreds of exhibits, celebrity appearances, film screenings and industry panels during its Thursday-Sunday run.

In recognition of Comic-Con's 40-year history and its $42 million annual direct economic impact on the region, the Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to declare it "Comic-Con Week" in San Diego County.

"This is one of those things that's become synonymous with San Diego during the summer," Supervisor Greg Cox said of Comic-Con.

JOHN SCHNEIDER ON CW SHOW

Did you remember the character of Jonathan Kent in Smallville?...Yes?
Well, since Clark`s dad died, John has participated in several projects like Collier & Co., The Secret Life of American Teenager and Nip/Tuck.
But now, he reasumes his role of father...Where...?
He`s been cast for 90210, he`ll be Liam`s stepfather...but not the beloved paternal figure as in Smallville. His character will be a plastic surgeon in permanent conflict with his son.
His character will appear on episode 2 and it`s supposed to be there all the season.

COMIC CON 2009

The San Diego Comic Con will start on July 22 with the Preview Night.
Next day, begins 4 days plenty of conferences, meetings and so on; all related to comics, more than 400 events.
The SMALLVILLE PANEL will be on July 26, from 10.30 to 11.30 am on room 6BCF.
There, KELLY SOUDERS, BRIAN PETERSON, ALLISON MACK, ERICA DURANCE, CASSIDY FREEMAN, JUSTIN HARTLEY and CALLUM BLUE will talk about the year ahead, answer questions and show a sneek peek of season 9.

SMALLVILLE SPOILERS SEASON 9

Hey! Season 9 will be aired in September, but...we have already spoilers about a new character: MASON
- He`s between 20 - 30, handsome, charmer, master of seduction, very intelligent

And about the scene used for casting him:
- The scene takes place on the Queen Industries jet, and involves Mason with Tess.
- Tess is surprised by Mason's voice, who asks her if she's "All work and no play?"
- Tess tells Mason that she hoped he would have mastered more than a lexicon of cliches by now. He tells Tess she can stand down, because "it's me," and Tess says that "precisely who 'you' are is a little nebulous at the moment." Mason reminds her that it`s "exactly the way you like it." He then keeps trying to find ways to try to seduce her.
- It sounds like Tess might "betray" Mason. In a later scene, Tess returns to the Luthor Mansion to find him inside, waiting. He mentions that she "turned on him" but he "survived it," and then works on psychoanalyzing Tess yet again.
- He tells Tess "I trusted you!" and tells her that he was the one shot she had at a fairy tale ending. She pulls a gun on him, and reminds him "You still need me." He realizes she's right.

INTERVIEW ALLISON MACK

Since we have to wait for a long time until next season begins, I think it would be interesting to read the following interview, it was on January 2007...OK...I know...the sixth season was working on...but, there you can find how Allison became a Director and how is Tom Welling and Michael Rosembaum`s behaviors...Very interesting and very funny!

ALLISON:
Hellooo!

ALLISONMACK.COM:
Hi, Allison! How are you?

ALLISON:
I’m good! I’ve been working so much more than I’ve ever worked on this show, it’s crazy! I feel like Tom!

ALLISONMACK.COM:
But that’s good though!

ALLISON:
It’s great! My storyline has been totally picking up!

ALLISONMACK.COM:
Great. So, first “Smallville” question… What have you learned the most during your time on “Smallville” thus far, and how have you applied it to your life?

ALLISON:
Wow, that’s a big question. I grew up on “Smallville,” you know. I started the show when I was 18, and I’m 24, and you do a lot of changing in those years. I think maybe I learned more about myself and who I am. Kristin has been a huge influence on me and the fashioning of my ideas in regard to the world. Tom’s been an incredible friend, teaching me I can do anything and learn anything. I learned a lot from those two.
ALLISONMACK.COM:
About Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum directing: Your fans want to know what you think about the differences and similarities between their directing.

ALLISON:
[Laughs] I don’t think there ARE any similarities. Well, Tom is a very paced man. He’s very guarded and very deliberate. And Michael is the opposite. He’s all over the place. I guess their similarities are that they’re both so incredibly passionate about it and they get so excited about performances and so excited about coming to work and so excited about the ideas about directing. That’s really infectious because they both know what they want, and you give them the performances that they’re happy with. But they couldn’t be more night and day personally. Michael has a tendency all over the place and really scattered and his brain is scattered, but he’s incredibly creative and incredibly encouraging, whereas Tom is more quiet and more reserved.

ALLISONMACK.COM:
Would you consider directing an episode yourself?

ALLISON:
Funny you mention that. Tom’s been driving me nuts about directing an episode here. No– I hadn’t given it any thought at all until Michael did it. So I’ve slowly started meeting with the different directors that we have and asking them about the process. I might! I’m not closing that door.

ALLISONMACK.COM:
How did the team prepare you for your expanded role, or did they at all?

ALLISON:
They didn’t.

ALLISONMACK.COM:
They didn’t? So did you just sort of find out as you went along?

ALLISON:
Yeah, [with every script] I was just kind of like, “Oh, I guess I’m heavy in this one… Oh… I guess… Oh, I guess I’m heavy in this one too… Oh… I…” My character has really evolved and exploded over the last two seasons. But it’s been great and so much fun! I’m so happy. I LOVE what I do, and I love the people that I work with. Working with Tom every day is just such a luxury because he’s such a defined person. It’s just so much fun.

ALLISONMACK.COM:
In the episode “Labyrinth,” Do you think that she was conjured from Clark’s mind, or conjured by Martian Manhunter?

ALLISON:
I don’t think that she was… Well? Probably she was brought on by Martian the man hunter… Because, I mean, he used all of as part of Clark’s fantasy just to teach him very specific lessons, and so he was probably very aware of my relationship with Clark and what it meant to him in that way, and them killing me, and it was probably an integral part him teaching Clark.

ALLISONMACK.COM:
Yeah! Your first “Smallville” death scene!

ALLISON:
It was grrrrrrrrrrreat! It was so much fun to shoot that.

ALLISONMACK.COM:
How many takes did you guys do?

ALLISON:
A lot. Lots of angles. Well, because I couldn’t quite figure out how to take a bullet at first. I didn’t know what it was supposed to look like or anything like that, so it took me a couple of times to get hit, to really be able to figure out how to sell the hit. And then falling into Tom’s arms is never really very hard… So that was… You know… I had to do that a COUPLE times, at LEAST [Sly laughter].

ALLISONMACK.COM:
Man… I’ll tell you. You’ve got the worst job ever.

ALLISON:
I know. It’s brutal!

ALLISONMACK.COM:
Although everyone’s like, “How the frick far away is Metropolis?”

ALLISON:
I know. I know. Just a couple of hours.It’s very difficult because of the distance between Metropolis and Smallville, and we already play that so aggressively that still having me run from school to work to home all in one episode is a little funky.
